I Might Grow Dreadlocks In Future - Sarkodie

Rapper Sarkodie has told News-One that he does not take any alcoholic beverage. “This is not because I feel taking alcohol is bad but I just don’t feel like taking it,” the Tema-based award winning rap artiste explained and disclosed that he had stuck to his childhood habit and took in soft drinks and fruit juices. This is quite different from what pertains within the showbiz industry where the use of alcohol and hard drugs is not uncommon. The onetime MTN Ghana Music Awards multiple winner further told News-One that he was a very religious person and fellowshipped at the Full Gospel Church. He however did not mention his religious belief as reason for not taking alcoholic drinks. Sarkodie’s comment was a follow-up answer to a question on whether he was likely to grow dreadlocks in the near future, considering his current hair style. He said though there were currently no plans of growing his hair into locks, he might do so in future depending on how and what his orientation would be at that time. This year, Sarkodie had changed his looks with his latest hairstyle. He left the edges of the hair well shaped and trimmed but left the entire hair over grown than usual. Some of his fans have stated that Sarkodie looked better in his previous hairstyle. “There is no name for my new hairstyle; it is a little bit busty. I just did it. It is a change of look. You know in showbiz you don’t have to look boring every time; you have to change your looks once a while else you would be seen as boring. My previous look is nice but when it changed, people were like ‘wow, Sarkodie, it is nice, it is nice’. That will create the buzz. You need to come in the papers. They need to talk about you, so you have to do something,” he said. Sarkodie is among the crème de la crème of musicians billed to rock the stage at Empire Entertainment’s upcoming event dubbed ‘Ghana Meets Naija’. The event is scheduled for July 1 and will also host some top guns from Nigeria’s music industry. Sarkodie sounded optimistic about presenting a clean and perfect show at the event. “I can’t predict what I am about to do but I always don’t let Ghanaians down. By all means I will have a good show. This is the first time fans will see Sarkodie after the Fabolous show; they should come and experience it themselves.” Currently, he is rated as Ghana’s fastest rapper but the chap believes his dreams have not yet materialized: “I have a very big dream and I have not achieved that yet,” he told News-One.   Source: News-One

'Tupac alive, living in NZ' - hackers hoax US website

Hackers posted a fake story about dead American rapper Tupac Shakur on the website of US public broadcaster PBS.
The hoax on the site of the PBS NewsHour programme said Tupac was alive and well in New Zealand, but the story had been removed by Monday morning.
Tupac died in 1996 after being shot four times in Las Vegas.
A group claiming it was behind the hack had complained about last week's PBS Frontline investigation into Julian Assange's Wikileaks website.
The group, calling itself LulzSec, and The Lulz Boat on Twitter, claimed it had hacked the site.
One message said the group was "less than impressed" with the documentary, entitled Wikisecrets, about the leak of US diplomatic cables to the WikiLeaks website.
The programme, which can still be viewed on the PBS website, had generated much debate on the PBS website, especially from those sympathetic to founder Assange.
David Fanning, executive producer of Frontline, said the attack on the PBS website was unusual but "probably not unexpected".
He said: "This kind of action is irresponsible and chilling."
He added: "From our point of view, we just see it as a disappointing and irresponsible act, especially since we have been very open to publishing criticism of the film... and the film included other points of view."
The hackers also posted log-in information for two internal PBS sites.
'Tough reporting'
In recent months, the group has also claimed responsibility for security breaches at Sony and Fox.
In his weekly column, PBS ombudsman Michael Getler had said WikiSecrets had generated only a handful of complaints, though he expected more in the post.
"This may be a good thing for Frontline if it suggests that most viewers found the program to be in keeping with Frontline's reputation for fair yet tough reporting," Getler wrote.
He said questioning by interviewer Martin Smith had been tough but fair, although the reporting raised some questions in his mind.

Sean Kingston hospitalised After Jet-ski Accident

Singer Sean Kingston has been hospitalised after a jet-ski accident in Miami, Florida on Sunday, according to a report. The Beautiful Girls hitmaker is said to be in a critical condition after his water vehicle crashed into a bridge, reports Local10.com. Kingston and his female passenger were rescued from the water after the smash, which officials from the Miami Fire Department attended to, and the singer was taken to a local hospital. Kingston's injuries are so severe he is being treated in the trauma ward, according to TMZ.com. His representative tells the website, "Sean Kingston was in an accident today. No further details are available at the moment. He and his family thank everyone for the well wishes." Officials are investigating the cause of the crash.

NEWS-ONE reported last Friday that Yvonne had opened a designer boutique called YN’s Closet and had stocked it with a wide range of unisex designer clothes.

YN’s Closet was her reason for traveling from Dubai to Europe to get good stuff for her clientele. For the past few weeks, she has been on twelve flights, just making sure that she got the right stuff.

Most of her designer clothes are from France, Italy and Dubai. There are also designer rings which she said are selling at affordable prizes.

The ultra-modern fashion shop is located at Dansoman, Sahara (Manorvia). “I decided to do this shop because a lot of people appreciate my sense of fashion. They love the way I dress and they are always commenting on my facebook, so I decided to do something little for all people who love me and what I wear.”

Her YN Hairline introduces lace wig and human hair collections for Ghana’s market. The wig is very new in Ghana. When ladies put it on, it looks like one’s natural hair. It is easy to wear and very comfortable.

Yvonne’s slogan is ‘Being In The Spotlight’, and she is sure her clients will stand out among their peers when they use lace wig. It comes in different packages and there are about six different types.

Yvonne is gradually building a huge business empire for herself. She will not speak about it but there is another business venture in her plans. Currently, she drives a brand new white Touareg valued at $72,000.

NEWS-ONE has spoken to actress Yvonne Nelson about reports that she is a hard core lesbian and ranks among the top five lesbians within Ghana’s celebrity society. Without providing any evidence or base, the said story also mentioned other celebrities including Ghana’s representative to the Big Brother Amplified competition Confidence Haugen, and sensational broadcaster and TV presenter Delores Frimpong Manso aka Delay. Yvonne, when asked a direct question by NEWS-ONE whether or not she was a lesbian, said she had never practiced same sex, adding that she was currently not into it and would not go into it in future. “This is not fair. If you have any proof that Yvonne Nelson or Confidence or Delay or whoever is a lesbian, bring it out. Why not? “I am an active member of the Mount Olivet Methodist Church, Dansoman. Lesbianism is against my moral values and everything. I believe in the bible and it is in the bible that lesbianism is not good. This thing happened long ago in Sodom and Gomorrah. It is evil; I can’t see myself doing anything like that. It is quite unfortunate that these guys do get away with these negative stories.
