The return of Ghanaian Hiplife star, Asem onto active music scene is turning out to be stronger than was anticipated.
Asem

Asem has made it on the ‘THIS IS AFROBEATS’ MUSIC Compilation which also features some of the biggest superstars on the scene such as 2face, P-square, Naeto C, and 9ice.

The music compilation is made by a major pioneer of the new African music scene, BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Dj Edu. From the streets of Lagos, Nairobi, Accra, the UK & North America comes the musical genre that is
young vibrant and fresh called "Afrobeats".

The name stems from "Afrobeat" a powerful, raw and organic form of African music made popular in the 70's by Fela Kuti & Tony Allen.
"Afrobeats" can best be described as the sound of young Africa incorporating modern music & production techniques and fusing them with African sounds, melodies and rhythms.

"Afrobeats" is definitely here to stay, as a unique form of music full of colour, vibrance, independence with great dance moves to go with it and a whole continent behind it. This is not a Revolution. This is a Hostile Takeover.

Soon after the release of the ‘SOLID GROUND’ album, Asem has taken to work on many projects as well as working closely with the Ghana Library Board to improve reading skills of children.

Charly Boy reacts to gay allegation, threatens to sue newspaper

Charly Boy reacts to gay allegation, threatens to sue newspaper
Charly Boy
Last week, news spread like an hurricane about Charles Oputa popularly known as Charly Boy being a gay and the head of illuminati in Nigeria.
This allegation was made in a publication by a national daily newspaper, National Mirror of Saturday, May 26, 2012 by one of the paper’s writers.

In the story, Area Fada, as Charly Boy is also fondly called, was reported to be a gay the being the head of illuminati members in Nigeria.

He was also reported to be making a move to take over as the number one gay in Nigeria. This, according to the story, would allegedly make Charly Boy take over the number one spot from the first publicly acclaimed gay, Pastor Roland Macaulay.

In a reaction to the gay allegation by the paper, Charly Boy fumed at the publication and has vowed to sue the National Mirror for publishing such damaging story about him.

The 60-year old former PMEAN president stated, ”yesterday, I was an illuminate member. Today, a gay, tomorrow, slepping with a coffin and the list is endless. When will they stop these lies”?

Stating further, the head of ‘okada’ riders in Nigeria said, ”I read with total dismay in Saturday Mirror newspaper that I am a gay and head of illuminate. I have never sued before…but this time…,” he left it blank.

One thing that baffles some industry watcher is the fact the writer of the alleged damaging story is known to have close ties with Charly Boy. Is this another media stunt from Charly Boy who is always in the habit of such publicity stunt?

You will recall that few years ago, Charly Boy was in the midst of gay allegation with Denrele Edun when both were pictured in a kissing position.
