Nigerian Afrobeat musician Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo known in showbiz as
D’Banj “The KoKo Master” and also known for his jingle “Oshe” who owns
hit songs like “Why me”, “Oliver twist” and many other hits, which has
gained him enormous popularity both here in Africa and the world in
general following a track he did with U.S based Hip-hop star Snoop Dogg
on a remix on one of his hits called “Mr. Endowed”.In an interview with Ameyaw Debrah an online entertainment magazine owner, said he no longer belongs to Mo’hits Record, a Record Label that he (D’Banj) was a partner of with Don Jazzy.
He added that his new record label has worldwide distribution with universal music group, which intends to bring Def Jam Music Record label to Africa so as to facilitate efficient signing in of other
Talents without going through the trouble to travel outside Africa, He reiterated an earlier point that he was capable of connecting Ghana’s biggest and fastest rapper Sarkodie signed on to Kanye West’s record label G.O.O.D Music
He plans taking Sarkodie along to his upcoming tour because he believes Sarkodie is a talent that’s deserves to be widely published in the music industry and that Kanye West was calm and very open to more talents.
He said he is taking this initiative because he believes some Africans can soon be rubbing shoulders with big names like Jay-Z, Kanye West and many more.
Talking about his upcoming video he said he had wanted to have the shooting in South of France but Kanye West insisted he shot it in Africa.
