What started as a blog for
fans of Radio Justice’s drive time programme, “Metro Mix Drive” is now gaining worldwide attention after statistics revealed that 6,498 people viewed stories from the blogspot, www.metromixdrive.blogspot.com
worldwide in the last month of April.
Ghana, the United States and
United Kingdom top the list of countries with most audience of the blog.
2,918 people in Ghana, 930
in the United States of America and 449 in the United Kingdom viewed the site
in the last month, April. Other countries include Nigeria, 120 views, Canada-76
views, Germany-60 views, Italy- 46 views, Kenya- 41 views, Russia-34 views and
South Africa-27 views.
Other countries including
India, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, Australia and United Arab Emirates among others
were also listed among the stats.
The sources of the
statistics are google, facebook, radiojusticeonline and metromixdrive stats
recorders.
Metromixdrive.blogspot.com has
now graduated from just a blog to becoming the reference point for
entertainment news.
It is the leading and most recognized Entertainment news site
operating from Tamale in the Northern region.
In
the last three days, metromixdrive recorded 538 views whilst the story “Dr
Cryme Shines At Ghana Music Awards.” posted on 13th April 2011 received
the all time most viewed since its creation in March 2010 with 678 page views.

The Managing Editor of the
blog, Mumuni Yirifa Yunus tells metromixdrive he is overwhelmed with
the statistics, saying that “we never expected our audience size to rise so
quickly even though we were expecting that in the later years”.
He added that “this shows
that whatever you do on the internet pays and people will appreciate. We will
not stop entertaining our audience and we pray that it keeps growing”.
Mr Yunus noted that this is
an opportunity for Northern artists to market themselves through it.
“ As the first Entertainment
news site and with current statistics, this offers an opportunity for our stars
to promote their products and themselves because people are reading our stories
in place we never expected. The US, UK and Canada are no surprise at all, think
of the Sri Lanka, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and other countries including Russia
and you’ll be amused. At first I didn’t believe it until I saw the stats from
the source itself” he said.
He promised their audience
of more thrilling stories and hoped that more feedback is given them.
“I assure our audience that
more exciting things are going to be happening here and I know that you’ll enjoy them. I hope we
receive feedback from them on the stories we post and possibly how we can
improve our productions.
The stats is a new automated
software system that allows an operator of a blog or website to know his or her
audience size.
